Seidman for Mayor Campaign Update
Eighthteenth and final update to my mailing list about the progress and goals for my campaign.
Dear Neighbor,
There are 20 minutes left to vote in the Democratic Primary, stop reading this if you haven't voted yet. If you have voted, thank you for your service.
No matter how the results shake out tonight, or over the next few weeks, or however long it takes to tally all these ranked choices, I want to thank anyone who came out to help and challenged my platform along the way - you made me a better candidate and my ideas stronger. A special thank you to my campaign manager Tony Senatore and treasurer Sally Petrick for going above and beyond the calls of friendship to help me shoot my shot, I quite literally could not have done it without you guys. Notable thanks to my brother Lionel for his ever critical inspection of my ideas and my pal Reuben for his grade-A copy-editing, thanks gents.
Whoever wins in the primaries tonight I wish them the best of luck in the rest of their campaign and likely mayoral position next January. While I would always recommend erring on the side of decentralized governance and setting an example of loving neighbors, I trust that the people of New York will make the right decision and that the winner will be the person best suited to lead and free to follow their own recommendations.
I'm going to keep you all on this mailing list unless otherwise asked not to. I will send updates very rarely (think quarterly) about interesting ideas related to corruption and systemic fixes in government along with any particularly egregious violations of the public's trust. If I run for another office I'll ask before adding you to that list, as I should. No more events in the coming days, but I did drop my last position paper of the series since I last pinged the group - Give Me Data Or Give Me Death; it's spicy enough and worth a look if not the full read. I love you neighbor and can't wait to see you around in all things decentralizing power or just plain balling out in the Big Apple.
In the decentralized,
Ira Seidman
