Seidman for Mayor By The Numbers

Seidman for Mayor Campaign Update

Sixth update to my mailing list about the progress and goals for my campaign.

Dear Neighbor, Soldier on soldier. No matter what, we need to remind ourselves that there is a problem first so that we can actually start working on the solution. We have to say the government is corrupt before we can fix it. My efforts to decentralize political power continue, here's a report on the campaign to date: $0 - amount of solicited campaign donations $101 - amount of unsolicited campaign donations refused 330 - number of registered New York City Democrats who signed my petition to be on the ballot 12 - number of folks on this mailing list 5 - number of position papers live on Medium (click here for the latest on ethics in politics) 8.5 - weeks since entering the race 4 - number of volunteers on this team (thanks Sally and Tony, welcome Tom and Isabel!) 1 - number of mayoral forums invited to speak at (check out my performance here) 0 - interest in not pushing all the way until the primary on June 22nd Infinite - love for my neighbors in the boroughs and beyond Lately I've been thinking a lot about whether I want to pursue any endorsements or if they enter a similar area as campaign donations as far as corruption can go. I'm also thinking a lot about community and how we often limit what communities we have to geographic location, interests, faith, etc... What about a community that was built on just one rule - everyone is invited. I'd love to hear your thoughts on any of the above ^. Finally, please mark your calendars for April 8th at 9pm EST - I will be giving an address (aka going live on YouTube). I'll leave the chat open and uncensored as always, I truly can't wait. In decentralized power, Ira
