A Political Pyramid Scheme

Seidman for Mayor Campaign Update

Ninth update to my mailing list about the progress and goals for my campaign.

Dear Neighbor, For those new to the list, welcome. For those returning, welcome. For everyone else, I look forward to welcoming you soon. A campaign by definition cannot be successful without widespread buy-in and support, so that's why I'm presenting you with my campaign strategy this week - a political pyramid scheme. The only difference between this and your classical Ponzi approach is that instead of defrauding investors at the bottom we are trying to decentralize power for everyone. If the idea of fixing corruption in government first resonates with you and you want to support me, I invite you to tell four people about me; but be warned, those four people only count if they tell four people... I was interviewed Thursday night by a local nyc activist. Monday I'm joining a discussion on police reform with other nyc candidates and I will drop part seven in my position paper series decentralize. Thursday I've been invited to speak at part four of the CUNY Center for Community Media's mayoral candidates forum [link now defunct]. I hope you will check out as many of these as you can in addition to my website if you are not already convinced about telling four people. The state of our city and political landscape at large is in dire need of change - I hope you will at least ask me why I should be that change if you aren't already convinced. If you have already made up your mind about not telling four people all that I ask is that you tell me why so that I can not only become a better candidate, but a better leader. In decentralized power, Ira Seidman https://www.decentralizenyc.com/
